What we offer if you become a member
It is a special experience to write to an inmate, but not always an easy one. It can help a lot to exchange experiences with other correspondents, have access to up-to-date information and call on personal support when difficulties occur.
This is why we offer our members
- extensive support with practical help
- a network and regular meetings with like-minded people
- regular updates about the death penalty in the USA
- opportunities to get active against the death penalty
- and much more.
For more details, please see the page Advantages of being a member.
Before we give out an inmate’s address, we ask you to become a member of lifespark. We see your membership as a sign of commitment to long-term correspondence, so that the inmates have someone they can rely on.
What it costs
The membership fee for one year is CHF 50.- or the equivalent in euros. Special rates are available, please contact us.
Part of the fee is used for organizational expenses, but most of it is donated to US organizations which are opposed to the death penalty or support inmates on death row.
