Lifespark 15th Anniversary Quilt Project

being a pen pal

It consists of patches made by lifespark members in honor of their (executed) pen pal. The name of the pen pal is on each piece. Isabelle has stitched them together and also has used African material between the patches. They add color and meaningful symbolism to the whole quilt.

It is an ongoing project, more patches are welcome. Use cotton, plain color, 12/9 cm, and embroider your pen pal's name on it and use your own imagination (e.g. flowers, a drawing, symbols).

Isabelle has heard of the idea of the quilt project from the Dutch organization Inside-Outside which called for the creation of patches for a quilt until the death penalty is abolished.
